The A4 Skyhawk (RBC kit)

A4 Skyhawk

Model construction: 2003
Features of the model:
Wingspan: 0.70 m
Weight: 1.2 Kg
Engine: Kontronik Fun 480-33 and Wemotec 480
Power supply: 10 elements CP1700 mAh

Coming from an RBC kit, the construction of this kit is delicate but relatively quick and the result is light. The fuselage requires a lot of attention especially to achieve the air guide without twisting anything.

Takeoff:
No way to throw it by hand, the bungee is essential because if the plane does not have sufficient speed, the turbine does not catch. This bungee is made with 10m of 10mm bungee cord and 3m of 3mm halyard. Do not be afraid to stretch to the maximum, it’s impressive but safe. Just let go, put the “gas” fully and pull the elevator slightly. Finally it is the easiest flight phase.

In flight:
With the plan settings, the ailerons are a bit soft and care must be taken not to move too far because the A4 quickly becomes small. If like me you choose a color that is not very showy, you will have to be careful.
The flight is lively and fast once the speed acquired. With too new batteries, it is difficult to gain altitude and the flight is delicate.

Landing:
No particular comments, the plane lengthens but nothing more.
