The Bugatti being finished and flying wonderfully well, I was looking for my next project among the aerobatic planes. Finding inspiration, I went back to see the racers of the golden age. There, I came across the DGA series by Benny Howard and in particular the Pete. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_DGA-3

This plane is above all a racer but whose particular geometry gives it good qualities of outfielder. The real was also widely used in air shows of the time. So I have a retro racer look (which I particularly like) with aerobatic possibilities that I was looking for.

Height of happiness, while searching a little on the net, I came across David Andersen’s site which offers a plan 100% scale model of the Pete at 1/3 scale for free download:  http://www.mnbigbirds.com/Andersen%20Plans.htm.
In order to stay in an aircraft size compatible with my storage capacities and budget, I printed the plan on a 1/4 scale which gives me a model of 1m50 of span.
